Desi - Operations Supervisor Dental Assistant Expanded Functions Dental Assistant/ Expanded functions Orthodontic Assistant
I have been in Hood River area since 1988, and have been lucky enough to work with A Kidz Dental Zone since 2006. My Family and I have a strong community interest and love growing with Hood River as it changes. My favorite thing is being a parent, being active, and playing with my dogs. I love working with kids! I enjoy reaching out in the community and educating families on dental care, dental protection and nutrition for dental health. Working with kids on a daily basis either at work or outside of work is definitely rewarding. My favorite time of year is fall, especially in the gorge.
Alondra - Dental Assistant
Hi! My Name is Alondra Gomez and I’m the schedule coordinator at AKDZ since August 2014. Being part of AKDZ, I enjoy working with families and ensuring they have a positive visit. Outside of work, I enjoy going on adventures with my kids. We like to go on road trips, exploring the gorge and watching movies. Our favorite toothpaste is Sparkle Fun by Crest.
Sandra - Dental Assistant
Helloies! My name is Sandra I’ve been at A Kidz Dental zone since December of 2020. When I’m not working I enjoy getting out with my friends and family. Everyday I come into work excited to meet all the new kiddos that walk in through the doors! I can’t wait to help each and every one of you on your dental journey! See you at your next appointment!
Ali - Insurance & Financial Coordinator
Hello, my name is Alicia. I also go by Ali, and I am the Insurance & Financial Coordinator for A Kidz Dental Zone in Hood River! I began my career in healthcare in 2002. I then transitioned to the dental field in 2015 before joining the team at AKDZ. I enjoy nature walks, cooking with my kids, and spending time with my family and friends.
Holly - Expanded Functions Dental Assistant and Expanded Functions Orthodontic Assistant
Hi, my name is Holly and I was born and raised in the Columbia River Gorge. I am a wife and mother of 3 boys. My interests are supporting my boys in all their sporting events and raising them to be respectable young men. I love knitting and baking. I love the outdoors, spending time with family and I love experiencing all the changing seasons of The Gorge. I am an active member in my local church and teach Sunday school. I am a first aid/CPR instructor and I also teach dental education in the local elementary/pre-schools in the area during children's dental health month and throughout the school year. I started working as a Dental Assistant at A Kidz Dental Zone in October of 1995. I love to be a positive role model for children and brighten their day with a fun dental appointment. Working with children keeps me young at heart and I find my job very rewarding.
Esmeralda - Scheduling Coordinator
Hello my name is Esmeralda I am the Scheduling Coordinator at A Kidz Dental Zone in Hood River since March of 2021. I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, the outdoors, and baking at home. My favorite part of being a team member for a AKDZ is that everyday is an experience, and a great opportunity to learn something new. I am excited to see all the amazing kiddos. Sharla - Practice Manager
Hello, I am Sharla, the Practice Manager for A Kidz Dental Zone in The Dalles! My entire career has been in Health Care Marketing and Operations, having worked in hospitals, a rehab center, medical clinics, and in Assisted Living and Memory Care. Following my passion for healthcare, I earned a bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration from Warner Pacific University and will begin pursuing an MBA in the Fall of 2022. I am thrilled to be part of the compassionate and committed AKDZ team, contributing to healthy and beautiful smiles in such a fun environment!
When the days are done loving those smiles, I enjoy hiking with my dogs, doing home projects and cooking with my husband, reading, watching documentaries, painting abstracts, travel, and spending time with family and friends.
Natalie - Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
My name is Natalie, I have been a Dental Assistant since 2007 and LOVE IT!! I worked primarily with adults for some time, and have found my home working with kids at A KIDZ DENTAL ZONE. When I'm not busy having fun with my patients, I am busy having fun with my son Daniel. We enjoy, pizza, movies, swimming and sun! Native to the Columbia Gorge my son and I also enjoy hiking, playing in the river, and stand up paddle boarding. And on clear nights you can find us star gazing, our favorite constellations are The Big Dipper and Cassiopeia!
Sabrina - Insurance Coordinator
Hello, my name is Sabrina, I started working at A Kidz Dental Zone of The Dalles in June of 2016 as the Insurance Coordinator. I was born and raised in The Dalles. I am a mother of two beautiful kids. I love that I get to work with an amazing group of people and be able to see all the smiling faces coming through the door each and every day. I love funny movies, swimming and spending time with my family.
Jenifer - Dental Assistant
Hi, my name is Jenifer and I am the oldest of 3. I have always been the babysitter of the family, so you could say I enjoy being around kids! Being outdoors is something that brings me happiness especially if I’m painting! I am also bilingual and can speak Spanish! Asi que no se preocupe si tiene algunas preguntas!
Reyna - Dental Assistant
Hi! My name is Reyna. I started my journey training as a dental assistant in December 2020. I was born and raised in Hood River, OR. My favorite things are spending time with my family, friends and playing with my dog! Every day is a new experience going into work, and I am thankful for the opportunity to meet all the great kiddos!
